A shocking and deeply disturbing case has emerged from South Carolina, where a 23-year-old woman was left permanently disfigured after her ex-boyfriend bit off her lower lip during a violent confrontation. The attack, which took place just days after the couple’s breakup, has horrified the community and sparked outrage across social media.
According to police reports, the victim — who has chosen to remain anonymous — met her ex-boyfriend, identified as Kyle Lawson, to discuss their recent separation. What was supposed to be a calm conversation quickly escalated into a heated argument. Witnesses nearby reported hearing screaming before calling 911.
When officers arrived, they found the young woman bleeding heavily and visibly traumatized. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, where surgeons discovered that a portion of her lip had been completely torn off. Doctors attempted to reattach the tissue, but due to the extent of the injury, reconstruction surgery was required.
Lawson fled the scene but was arrested hours later after a brief police chase. In his statement, he claimed he “didn’t mean to hurt her that badly,” saying the incident happened “in the heat of the moment.” Investigators, however, described the assault as deliberate and vicious.
