In one of the most disturbing DUI cases in recent years, newly released footage shows a woman laughing and smiling just moments after causing a deadly car crash that claimed the lives of two children. The incident has left the community horrified and reignited national outrage over lenient drunk-driving penalties.
The tragedy occurred outside the Swan Boat Club, a popular waterfront establishment, where surveillance cameras captured the driver — later identified as a 25-year-old woman — stumbling into the bar hours before the collision. According to investigators, she had consumed multiple alcoholic drinks before deciding to drive home, despite several people reportedly urging her not to get behind the wheel.
Moments later, witnesses say she sped through a residential area, losing control of her vehicle and slamming into another car carrying a family of four. The impact was so severe that it instantly killed two children, aged 8 and 10, and critically injured their parents.
