A disturbing bodycam video has gone viral after it allegedly showed police officers planting evidence on a homeless couple during what was supposed to be a “routine stop.” The clip, recorded by a bystander, has now sparked widespread outrage and a full internal investigation into the department involved.
The incident began late one evening when officers pulled over a red van parked near an underpass known to be frequented by people without homes. According to witnesses, the officers claimed the vehicle was “suspiciously parked” and decided to search it. The homeless couple inside, visibly shaken, repeatedly told police they had done nothing wrong.
In the now-viral footage, one officer can be seen holding a small plastic bag before walking to the back of the van. The camera then briefly pans away — and when it turns back, that same officer appears to place the bag inside the vehicle’s storage area.
