A shocking security video from Florida has gone viral after capturing the terrifying moment a woman narrowly escaped an attempted kidnapping outside a convenience store — all thanks to her quick thinking and fierce determination to fight back.
The incident took place in broad daylight in a store parking lot in Palm Beach County. Surveillance footage shows the woman walking toward her vehicle when a man suddenly rushes up behind her and grabs her around the waist, trying to drag her toward a nearby truck.
At first, the woman appears frozen in shock, but within seconds, she begins to fight back — screaming, kicking, and clawing at her attacker with everything she has. The man struggles to maintain control as the woman’s screams draw the attention of nearby witnesses.
“I heard her yelling for help and saw her being pulled toward the truck,” said one bystander. “I just ran toward them — I didn’t even think.”
The commotion caused the suspect to panic. Realizing he was drawing attention, he shoved the woman to the ground and fled toward his vehicle, speeding off moments before police arrived. The woman, though shaken and with minor injuries, was able to give officers a detailed description of the suspect and his car.
Deputies immediately issued an alert, and within hours, the suspect’s vehicle was spotted on a nearby highway. Police later arrested a 34-year-old man believed to be responsible for the attack. He now faces multiple felony charges, including attempted kidnapping and assault.
